connecting rod inspection First put the connecting rod to be corrected onto a mandrel expansion block and use an adjustable jack to support wrist pin end of connecting rod to make 2 center holes parallel with each other. Fasten the mandrel expansion block and adjust dial indicator frame in place in order to use upper and side meters to measure the upper and side surfaces of wrist pin. Set dial indicator to zero and use thumb, forefinger and middle finger to hold the handle ball of slide carriage to push the slide carriage slightly in order to contact measuring head with wrist pin end. Then twisting value is shown on upper meter and bending value is shown on side meter.
